Man shot dead by dacoits in Kasur
KASUR: A man was shot dead while one injured dacoit was arrested by Kot Radah Kishan police near Qamar Kot Chak 57 on Friday night.
According to the police, Javed Iqbal of Farooqia Colony along with his brother Sajid and Muhammad Rafiq, son of Abdul Jabbar, was going to Qamar Kot on a car when two dacoits intercepted them and snatched Rs 36,300 and mobiles from them. They shot Sajid dead on resistance while one dacoit, later identified as Fiaz alias Nomi, was injured by the firing of his accomplice. The injured dacoit was later arrested by the police. The other dacoit who fled from the spot was identified as Sabir Ansari of Zafarke. The police have registered a case.
MAN ABDUCTED: Kanganpur police on Saturday registered an abduction case of a man.
An unidentified accused phoned M Shafiq, a resident of Basti Dhenga Wali and father of four children, and asked him to come out from his house two days ago. However, Shafiq did not return to his home. The police have started investigation.
