BB murder: Rehman Malik demands arrest of surviving suicide bomber
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior leader and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Senator A Rehman Malik has taken a serious notice of the book ‘Inqilab Mehsud South Waziristan: from British Raj to American Imperialism’ recently released and has written a letter to federal interior minister of Pakistan to take actions against the writer and those who are mentioned in the book.
In his letter addressed to the interior minister, Rehman Malik has demanded that request be made to Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani to deport Ikramullah, the surviving suicide bomber, and the writer Abu Mansoor Asim Mufti Noor Wali who are sheltering in Afghanistan, adding that their interrogation will further unearth the facts of the conspiracy behind assassination of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Malik has also demanded the interior minister to make a request to Interpol to issue Red Notices against Ikramullah and Abu Mansoor enabling Pakistan to request for the deportation of these two TTP leaders. In a press conference, where he made the letter public, Rehman Malik said that the book has been written by one Abu Mansoor, reportedly a senior leader of Taliban, in which he has claimed the responsibility for the assassination of Benazir Bhutto.
