CJP takes notice of death of child maid of KP minister’s brother
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday took notice of death of child maid employed by brother of a KP minister. According to news report aired by section of media that the young maid employed by Shoaib Ghani, brother of Mushtaq Ghani, Minister for Higher Education of KP had died mysteriously at hospital in Abbottabad on January 25, 2018. Taking notice of the issue, the Chief Justice called report from KP Inspector General of Police (IGP) within three days.
APP adds: CJP Mian Saqib Nisar took notice of allegations and threats to Ocean Welfare Organisation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) running a makeshift school for around 2,000 street children under a flyover in Clifton near Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine in Karachi. According to an SC press release issued here Wednesday, the CJP took notice on reports that the Sindh government had asked the NGO to either hand over the school with children to the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) or shut it down. Allegedly, there were also threats to use police force if the NGO did not hand over the school to the Sindh Education Foundation. The chief justice called a report from the Sindh chief secretary within five days.
