Rs 90b corruption: SHC issues notices to Faryal Talpur, Ayaz Soomro, others
SUKKUR: The Sindh High Court Circuit Bench Larkana on Wednesday heard the petition of Hafiz Bashir in which he charged that MNA Faryal Talpur, MNA Ayaz Soomro, Shafqat Soomro and others are involved in alleged embezzlement of Rs 90 billion from the Larkana development package.
The petitioner pleaded that due to serious threats to him and his family he had earlier withdrawn the petition, but is now requesting the SHC to restore it as he has now shifted his family members to safer places. He pleaded that Faryal Talpur who is the sister of the ex- President Asif Ali Zardari and others have allegedly embezzled Rs90 billion from the Larkana's mega development package through the administration and their contractors. The failure to execute Larkana development package has rendered the city like the Mohenjo daro ruins, he added.
The judges of the Sindh High Court by restoring the application ordered MNA Faryal Talpur, MNA Ayaz Soomro, Shafqat Soomro, Chief Secretary Sindh and others to submit their reply by February 22, 2018.
