HARIPUR: The employees of administrative, clerical and class-IV cadres here on Tuesday continued their strike against the vice-chancellor and additional registrar of Haripur University.
They went on strike from Monday in support of their demands for regularisation of contract staff, giving contract in violation of rules and placing the employees of teaching assistants in surplus pool.
The protesters, who were led by Deputy Registrar Riaz Muhammad, marched on the roads and chanted slogans against VC and additional registrar. They also accused them of corruption in awarding contract of ERP to a bidder at a cost of Rs7.4 million instead of the lowest bidder who offered to complete the same project with a cost of Rs2.9 million.
