Suicide vests, explosives recovered in Mardan

MARDAN: A terrorism bid was foiled by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and secret agencies in the limits of Jabbar Police Station and recovered suicide jackets and weapons on Tuesday, a police official said.
Speaking at a news conference, District Police Officer (DPO) Mian Saeed Ahmed said that acting on a tip-off police, the CTD and secret agencies officials recovered two suicide jackets, two hand-grenades, four detonators, two batteries and one pistol from the backside of Abdul Wali Khan University Shankar campus.
He added that in another action police, CTD and secret agencies officials recovered five rocket-launchers, 70 hand-grenades, 27 mortar shells near Saleem Khan canal in the limits of Saro Shah Police Station.
