Waseem backs Classic Football League

ISLAMABAD: World Boxing Council (WBC) silver flyweight champion Mohammad Waseem has announced his support for the Classic Football League (CFL) to be staged in Karachi few weeks after the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia.CFL Chairman Haider Ali Daud Khan thanked Waseem for supporting the cause.Earlier, talking to CFL Director Shahid Khokhar, Waseem appreciated the efforts of CFL management for the event.“It’s a great honour to be an ambassador for the Classic Football League. I feel privileged to support and promote sports in Pakistan, especially football, because personally I like and play it. I assure the management of CFL my full support and best wishes,” Waseem said.
