PLTA Inter-School, College Tennis ends
LAHORE: The PLTA Inter-School and Inter-College Tennis Championship held under the auspicious of Punjab Lawn Tennis Association concluded here at The Punjab Tennis Complex near Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.
In the championship over 50 schools and colleges of the city and adjacent areas participated. In the interest of the students various categories were formed so that the players of all ages could perform according to their energy and playing level.
In the team event The City School beat Lady Maclagon High School to win the Inter School Girls Championship whereas Lacas School beat Aitcheson College. In Inter-College Boys event Govt College dominated the event as it defeated Aitcheson College in the finals. Inter College Girls event was won by Lahore College that defeated Kinnaird College.
In individual singles matches boys under 12 category Ihtisham Arif won bronze, Shaeel Duran silver whereas Bilal Asim won gold medal. In U-14 years category Ahmed Saeed won gold, Hassan Ali silver and Abdul Hanan bronze. In Under 16 category Ehsan Ali took gold, M Saeed silver Abdul Hanan bronze.
In girls individual category. Shimza Naz Durab had gold, Zahra Suleman silver, Tasmiya Hamid bronze medal.
