FBR beat Rawalpindi Strikers
ISLAMABAD: FBR edged out Rawalpindi Strikers Club by 42 runs in a friendly T20 cricket match played here at Junoon Cricket Ground in Sector G-10, says a press release.Batting first, FBR scored 193 runs in the allotted 20 overs. FBR’s Saeed Chaudhry proved to be a main run-getter who hit 54 in his 45-ball knock. Other prominent scorers included Ammar Baloch (46) and Mansoor Akhtar (36). For Rawalpindi Strikers, Muhammad Umer, Usman and Talha grabbed two wickets each.In reply to 193-run target, Rawalpindi Strikers were bowled out for 151 runs in 18.1 overs.Usman scored 33 while Yousaf and Umer made 23, 22 runs respectively for Strikers. Zeeshan Aziz was the pick of bowlers for FBR as he grabbed three wickets while Zahid Mahmood, Taqweem Abbasi claimed 2 wickets each. Naveed Ahmed also bowled well for FBR by claiming one wicket.FBR’s Commissioner (HQ) Ardsher Saleem Tariq was the chief guest on the occasion and congratulated his team for displaying good performance during the match.
