JKAP’s karate training camp begins today
ISLAMABAD: The 4th Japan Karate Association (JKA) national karate training camp will be held under the auspices of JKA, Pakistan (JKAP), from January 24 to 25 at the Liaquat Gymnasium of Pakistan Sports Complex.
The Grand Master Shiina Katsutoshi (7th Don), head of JKA Japan headquarter, shall impart extensive karate training to Pakistani karate players.In the camp, the JKAP shall also arrange a self-defense training demonstration, aimed at educating young children as to how to protect them from aggression and assault.
Growing threats to the security of young children, particularly girls, in the age bracket of 5 to 12 years has made it critically important that kids shall be equipped with the art of self-defense. Children from the schools of twin cities will participate in the training session.
Tariq Ahmad, Country Representative, JKA Pakistan, informed that this is an open event, and invited the general public, particularly parents and school administrators to send their children to learn from this specialized training to be conducted by a Japanese grand master. Moreover, karate is going to be part of the upcoming Olympic 2020 in Tokyo, training imparted by a Japanese grandmaster shall prove to be very beneficial for our karate players.
