Siraj condemns Indian threats, ceasefire violations at LoC
ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq, while strongly condemning Indian leaders’ threats to Pakistan of start of limited war, has said that the country has to see this day because of coward Pakistani rulers. In strong reaction to threats given by the Indian defence minister, the JI Ameer also condemned continuous ceasefire violations by India on the Line of Control (LoC) resulting loss of precious lives.
He said that Pakistan Foreign Office should summon the Indian High Commission in Islamabad and he should be given warning in strong words against firing at LoC and threats coming from India instead of speaking to him in soft language.
He said just lodging protest with the Indian High Commission would not work rather Pakistan should also take the matter to the United Nations Security Council. Here, he pointed out that Indian interior minister was also giving threats of surgical attacks inside Pakistan.
Sirajul Haq said on one hand the ceasefire violations were continuing and they were giving threats of limited war against the neighbouring country and on the other hand, the Indian prime minister was giving hypocritical statements that both Pakistan and India should take measures to put an end to illiteracy and poverty in their country.
“Both the political leadership and Pakistani nation will have to be on one page in order to foil Indian nefarious designs,” he said. He called upon the Pakistani nation to observe Kashmiri Solidarity Day falling on February 5 with more enthusiasm.
