Jirga to arrange forensic audit of Peshawar Press Club finances
PESHAWAR: The reconciliation jirga of the Peshawar Press Club has decided to arrange forensic audit of the financial matters of the club in light of the decisions made at the general body meeting on December 14.
The jirga in its meeting chaired by senior journalist Rahimullah Yusufzai decided that services of reputed auditors would be acquired with the help of the Income Tax Department.
The other members of the jirga including M Riaz, Ismail Khan and Abdullah Jan attended the meeting.
The auditors would complete the task within a stipulated timeframe and would present the report to the jirga.
The jirga asked parties to the dispute and members of the club to produce documents related to the issue to the jirga by January 24. The jirga would finalise the auditor on January 25.
The constitutional committee formed by the jirga under the chairmanship of Abdullah Jan presented its report at the meeting.
