MULTAN: The total number of suspects of H1N1 influenza virus (swine flu) had jumped to 25 as two more suspects died here at Nishtar Hospital on Wednesday. They were identified as Bilquees Bibi and M Amin, said the health officials. The number of admitted virus suspects has reached 194 from 184 after receiving 10 new admissions in last 24 hours. Nishtar Hospital epidemiology focal person Dr Attaur Rehman confirmed that both the victims, 80-year-old M Amin and a 48-year-old woman Bilquees, belonged to Multan. He said another 10 suspects who were admitted to hospitals include four from Multan, one from Dera Ghazi Khan, one from Khanewal, three from Muzaffargarh and one from Vehari on Wednesday. They were kept in isolation ward while 34 other patients are under treatment at the isolation and ICU wards of the Nishtar Hospital. Condition of some of them is critical, they added.
