Viqar-un-Nisa College gets Astroturf hockey ground

Rawalpndi: Punjab Sports Standing Committee Chairman Hanif Abbasi Wednesday inaugurated an Astroturf hockey ground at the Government Viqar-Un-Nisa Post Graduate College for Women. Director Colleges Asghar Malik, Principal Saira Mufti, District Sports Officer Rawalpindi Abdul Waheed Babar, a large number of students and teachers were also present. The Astroturf project, costing Rs45 million will be completed by March 31, 2018. The astroturf will be imported from Holland. Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Sports Standing Committee Punjab Hanif Abbasi said best facilities have been provided at education institutions of Rawalpindi. He also announced state-of-the-art gym and a hostel for the college.
