KP govt flayed over minor’s rape, murder in Mardan
LAHORE: Spokesman for Punjab government Malik Muhammad Ahmed while condemning murder of a minor girl after rape in Mardan has demanded the KPK government to take action against the culprits who have committed this heinous crime.
He said the statement of Mardan District Nazim was any eye-opener that three-year-old Asma was murdered after rape and he himself had seen postmortem report which was now being concealed for unknown reasons. “Attempt to camouflage the postmortem report is highly regrettable, the KPK government should fulfill its responsibility and arrest the culprits,” he demanded.
Malik Ahmed Khan said poor background of the little girl should not be considered her crime. “I ask to those who had been involved in point scoring on Kasur incident that why they were now keeping mum on Mardan incident,” he questioned.
He said if Punjab chief minister could pay visit to Kasur to console the aggrieved why KP CM could not act on the same pattern. The hilarious role played by Mardan District Nazim is commendable indeed, he appreciated. “Those playing politics in the name of justice were keeping their eyes closed on injustices in the province they ruled,” he condemned.
Incident of killing of an innocent girl is a heinous one but hiding facts was even more heinous, the spokesman said. Malik Ahmed said chief ministers should sit together and evolve a comprehensive strategy to prevent such inhuman incidents.
