Posters displayed for welcoming Punjab CM stolen in Gujranwala
GUJRANWALA: On the application of brother of MPA Taufiq Butt, Dhulley police on Tuesday booked unidentified people for stealing the posters displayed on GT Road to welcome Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif.
Reportedly, the CM is expected to visit here on January 19 and the local PML-N leaders had displayed the welcome posters around Aziz Cross Interchange. On Monday night, some unidentified persons stole about 100 posters while they also damaged some hoardings.
TWO POS HELD: The Central Jail officials on Tuesday arrested two proclaimed offenders and handed them over to the CIA police. Superintendent Jail Ch Asghar told that foolproof security system had been set up in the Central Jail and every visitor was being scrutinised through computerised system. He said that two proclaimed offenders, Riaz of Pindi Bhattian and Imran of Kamoke, visited the jail to meet some prisoners. When their CNIC numbers entered in the computer system, their criminal record showed on the screen and the security officials arrested them on the spot.
