457 kgs of narcotics set on fire in Swabi

SWABI: The police set on fire 457 kilograms of contraband in the presence of judges on Tuesday. The contraband items including 419 kilograms of charas, 34kg heroin, four kgs of opium and 24 bottles of liquor in the presence of judges and officials. The contraband items were seized by the district police during the last one year. Meanwhile, the police also seized five kilograms of charas and one kilogram of heroin. The alleged trafficker was arrested. The smuggler was Gadoon Estate when they stopped a bike rider, Abid Khan. During search the cops recovered five kg charas and one kg heroin from his possession. “A pistol has also been recovered,” he added.
