Farhan tops Sindh tennis ranking
KARACHI: Farhan Altaf has taken the top position from Aqeel Shabbir with 80 ranking points in men’s singles category, according to Sindh Tennis Association’s (STA) annual rankings for 2017.
Aqeel is now at the second position with 70 points. Eibad Sarwar is third with 60 points and Vinod Das fourth position with 55 points.In juniors under 17 singles, the top position went to Sahibzada Muhammad Ali with 40 points and the second position was grabbed by Nauman Aftab, Noor-e-Mustafa and Muhammad Dada with each having 30 points.
The third position was shared by Eibad Sarwar, Zubair Raja, and Parbat Kumar with each scoring 25 points. In the under-15 singles, the top position was grabbed by Rayan Jawad with 40 points, the second position was taken by Hashish Kumar with 35 points and the third by Samad Areejo and Muhammad Dada with 30 points each.
In the under-13 singles, Yahya Ehtisham is ranked first with 100 points and the second position is shared by Mahatir Muhammad and Farooq Atiq with each scoring 40 points. The third position was taken by Yousuf Haleem with 25 points.
In the under-11 singles, Mahatir Muhammad grabbed the top position with 55 points. The second position was taken by Hasan Jamal with 45 points and the third was shared by Abdullah Imran and Zain Ehtisham with 40 points each.
In under-9 singles, the top position was grabbed by Zain Ehtisham with 110 points, the second by Hasan Jamal with 55 points, and the third by Duraf Das with 25 points. In the Soft Tennis men’s singles category, Robin Das topped the rankings with 130 points. Eibad Sarwar stood second with 85 points, and Kamran Ahmed scored 65 points to take the third position.
In the 55 plus singles category, Razi Nawab topped the rankings with 40 points and the second position was taken by Sabih Wali with 30 points. Javed Aghra Wala and Zafar Hasan shared the third position with 25 points each.
