Normalcy returning to Kasur
LAHORE: Although the accused person(s) responsible for the rape and murder of innocent Zainab hasn’t been arrested yet but the life in Kasur city has started returning to normalcy.
Different political and social figures including senior PPP leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, former wife of PTI chairman Reham Khan and Ameer of banned Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) Ameer Hamza, etc, visited the residence of Zainab as well as that of Muhammad Ali and Shoaib who were martyred by police firing. After offering Fateha, the visitors demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
On the other hand, protest rallies against the Zainab episode and police firing were taken out in various cities of the province.
Protesters in Pattoki, Sahiwal, Pind Dadan Khan, etc, staged demonstrations and demanded immediate arrest of all those responsible for Zainab's murder at the earliest. The protesters also raised slogans against the provincial government for its failure in protecting citizens from such heinous crimes.
