Nawaz to announce schedule of justice movement in Haripur
ISLAMABAD: The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will disclose contours of new intrigue against the government and his party next week when he will address public meeting in Haripur on Saturday, January 20.
It will be second public meeting of Nawaz Sharif in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ever-since he has initiated movement for Adal (justice). Minister of State Barrister Shahnawaz Ranjha, members of the National Assembly (MNAs) Capt (R) Safdar and Babar Nawaz Khan visited the area for overseeing arrangements for the public gathering. It has been decided that the meeting would take place in commodious Kurts ground in Haripur.
Sources in the PML-N told The News that Maryam Nawaz will also address the public meeting as she is married in this area. It will be her second presence in the public gathering with her father. Nawaz Sharif addressed his first mammoth public meeting in Abbottabad last month. Some central leaders of the PML-N including KP Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Special Assistant to the PM for Political Affairs Senator Dr Asif Saeed Kirmani and Advisers to the PM Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan and Amir Muqam will also address the gathering.
The sources said that Nawaz Sharif will give schedule of his movement for Adal in the Haripur public meeting. Nawaz Sharif, who has addressed public meetings in Abbottabad, Quetta and Kot Momin near Sargodha, will be visiting Karachi next month and it is likely that the first public meeting in Sindh would be announced during his stay in Karachi.
Federal Minister and central leader of the PML-N Senator Mushahidullah Khan has already been assigned for streamlining the affairs of the party in Karachi. He has set-up various committees regarding the organisation in Karachi which will finalise the programme for the visit of Nawaz Sharif to Karachi, the sources said.
