Senate Standing Committee on Devolution Process visits Peshawar
PESHAWAR: The Senate Standing Committee on Devolution Process met different stakeholders at a dialogue here on Thursday.
The committee head Senator Mir Kabeer Ahmad Mohammad Shahi led the discussion held at local hotel.
Politicians, civil society activists and government officials attended the sessions. The process of devolution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the light of the 18th Amendment was discussed.
The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, a German organization, had collaborated in holding the meeting in Peshawar.
PPP leader Farhatullah Babar made a presentation on the devolution process.
Meanwhile, the Senate Standing Committee on Devolution Process would be visiting the Islamia College in Peshawar today to attend another consultation on the issue. The session will be held at the Roos-Keppel Hall at the Islamia College. The Islamia College University vice-chancellor and the Higher Education Commission chairman would also speak on the occasion.
