LAHORE: The LHC on Thursday was moved against increasing smoking trends in the society. Muhammad Ijaz Khan, a local lawyer, moved an intra-court appeal (ICA) against smoking. The law made for smoking was against the fundamental rights of the citizens, he said. He said that cigarette’ sale must be banned for underage children and similarly all those things which are injurious to human health also be banned. Earlier, a single bench had rejected the petition in which he had pleaded with the court to declare cigarette equal to narcotic substance.
