HANGU: The residents of various localities on Monday staged protest outside the Hangu Press Club against low gas pressure and loadshedding. Led by the prayer leader Maulana Abdul Jalil and many social and political activists, the protesters blocked the road in front of the press club.
The protesters were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the Deputy Commissioner Hangu and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) officials. Addressing the protesters, Maulana Abdul Jalil said though Hangu was a gas producing area, they were being denied the facility. He said political leaders and local administration had failed to provide basic facilities to the citizens. They asked administration to solve the problems on priority basis.
