Multan win National Disabled T20 first phase
KARACHI: Defending champions Multan overpowered Karachi when they recorded a convincing four-wicket triumph in the final of the first phase of 6th National Disabled T20 Cricket Championship here at RLCA Ground in Gulberg.
Batting first, Karachi posted 151-2 in 20 overs. Rao Javed batted well for the side, scoring 60 runs off 50 balls with the help of six fours. Muhammad Zeeshan smashed four boundaries in his 31 off 32 balls. Ahmed Raza made 17. Left-arm pacer Muhammad Haris and off-spinner Jahanzaib Tiwana captured two wickets each.
In reply, Multan reached the target in 19.3 overs with four wickets in hand. Opener Majid Hussain belted four boundaries and two sixes in his 57-run knock off 43 balls. Imran Ali made 23 runs off 16 balls while Jahanzaib Tiwana scored 22 runs off 15 balls. Off-spinner Muhammad Zeeshan captured three wickets.
