They said that 303 polio cases were detected in the country last year, including four cases in the Punjab. One each case was detected in Chakwal, Bhakkar, Sheikhupura and Dera Ghazi Khan districts, they added.
When contacted, polio campaign incharge Dr Nabeel Saleem said that 40 families residing in Khushhal Colony, Qadirpur Raan, Rashidabad, Rewari Mohallah, Suraj Kund Road, Mauza Bhakal Berrh, Vehari Bypass, Muzaffarabad and other areas had refused polio vaccination and most of them belonged to the Ahle Hadith school of thought.
