Kabaddi course begins
LAHORE: Provincial Sports Minister Jahangir Khanzada has declared kabaddi as the most popular sport among the masses and it earned more international medals than any other sport.He was speaking during the opening of the Technical Kabaddi Course for Coaches that was initiated at the Gymnasium Hall of the Sports Board Punjab on Wednesday.
Secretary Sports Punjab Amer Jan, Secretary Pakistan Olympic Association Khalid Mahmood, Secretary Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Rana Sarwar, MD Tourism Ameer Malik, and Director Sports Punjab Anis Sheikh were also present on the occasion. Coaches and official from all over Pakistan have assembles here to gain the knowledge of the game on modern lines. The minister said that the government is doing every bit for the promotion of kabaddi in the country and also welcomed the participants of the course.
“There is no hurdle in Punjab in the sports development as the provincial government has allocated sufficient amount for sports,” said Amer Jan. He further stated that their duty is to facilitate in sports and the federation on its part develop good players.
