KMU, Swabi Women varsity enter into collaboration
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar and Women University, Swabi have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for academic and research collaboration.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Arshad Javaid, Vice-Chancellor of KMU, and Prof Dr. Khanzadi Fatima Khattak, Vice-Chancellor, Women University, Swabi, on behalf of their respective institutions.
Mutual scientific and technical cooperation will advance the state of science and technology within both partners and strengthen the technology infrastructure. Both varsities will pursue a program of academic, research, scientific and technical collaboration for the exchange of ideas, skills and techniques on problems of mutual interest as agreed from time to time.
Both the varsities agreed upon exchange and training of scientific and technical personnel for teaching, research and development in the field of Pharmacy, Psychology, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Botany, Zoology, Public Health and other related fields pertaining to the interest of both parties.
According to the details, KMU and WUS will cooperate with each other in exchange of Students and Faculty for scientific and technical collaboration in the laboratory sciences as and when required by both the parties. Both the varsities will hold joint conferences, seminars and symposia or workshops and joint supervision of research related activities.
The MoU will remain effective for 10 years unless terminated by any one of the partner by giving advance notice of six months. Both the vice-chancellors expressed satisfaction at the mutual cooperation of both the universities. They hoped for exchange of innovative ideas, research activities and training skills.
