Nasir Mushtaq beats Danish Raza in Multi-minds Open Tennis
KARACHI: Former international junior player Nasir Mushtaq eliminated Danish Raza in Multi-minds Open Tennis Championship at Creek Club here on Monday. Nasir, who recently returned from the US after completing his education, defeated Danish 6-0, 6-1 in men’s singles category.
In other matches of men’s singles first round, Nauman Aftab beat Ahmed Abdullah 6-0, 6-0; M Bilal Khalid beat Saad Ahmed 6-3, 7-6; M Dada beat Syed Oanuddin 6-1, 6-1; Robin Das beat Parbat Kumar 7-6(6), 0-6, 10-5; Vinod Das beat Khalid Malik 6-0, 6-1; Muneb ur Rehman beat Jahangir Khan 6-0, 7-5; Amin Shafi beat Mazhar Hayat 6-0, 6-0; and Zubair Raja beat Hashir Sohail 6-0, 6-0.
Samir Zameer beat Sabrina Khan 8-0 in the under-9 singles first round. In the under-11 single first round, Duraf Das beat Eshmal 8-1 and Ayan Yousuf beat Hasan Jamal 8-1. In the under-13 first round, Ayan Yousuf beat Erhan Asad 7-5, 6-2, while Yousuf Alim got walkover against Sehar Alim.
In the under-15 singles first round, Asim Gul beat Hasnain Khurrum 6-2, 6-2, Ammar Ismail overpowered Abdul Samad Areejo 6-7, 6-4, 11-9, and Taha Aman defeated Hadden Bhatti from Hyderabad 6-0, 6-1. M Ali thrashed Hasan Mustafa 6-1, 6-1 in the under-17 second round.
