If Raisani can be removed over terror attack, why can’t be Shahbaz: Qadri
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri has said if former chief minister of Balochistan, Aslam Raisani, can be removed from his office over the issue of terror attacks in the province, why Shahbaz Sharif can’t be sent packing over the Model Town massacre.
Speaking to the PAT Central Core Committee members here on Monday, he said the aggrieved families in Quetta had staged a sit-in against unknown terrorists after various innocent people were martyred in terrorist attacks in January 2013. The protesters demanded the arrest of the killers.
Acting on their demand, the federal government removed chief minister Aslam Raisani from him post and declared an emergency in the province.
He said unknown terrorists belonging to banned outfits had carried out terrorist attacks in Balochistan. However, on June 17, 2017 innocent people were killed in Lahore, but no action was taken against the real culprits. He demanded that Shahbaz Sharif should also be removed from his office.
