Nawaz, Maryam, Shahbaz felicitate nation on New Year
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Sunday wished the nation a very happy New Year. Nawaz Sharif prayed that God might shower His blessings on Pakistan with the advent of New Year and there would be rule of law and justice in the country.
He said that honour of Pakistan might be raised and stability might take place in Pakistan in New Year. He asked the people that they would have to use their right to cast their vote in election 2018 to give their decision.
“May God's blessings be with you every day of the year!” Maryam said in a message on the Twitter.
“We will keep striving for making Pakistan a peaceful welfare state according to the vision of Quaid-i-Azam,” he vowed. Shahbaz said that CPEC is bringing economic stability in the country which is making people prosperous as it has proved to be the real game-changer for the country.
On the other hand, the chief minister performed Umrah and offered ‘Nawafil’ in Masjid Al Haram. He prayed for the unity of Ummah, development and progress of Pakistan and stability and peace in the country. He also offered special prayers for Muslims living in Kashmir and Palestine.
Sympathising with the bereaved family in his condolence message, the chief minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give patience to family to bear this irreparable loss. Meanwhile, the chief minister has taken a strict notice regarding worsening situation of seasonal influenza in Multan and sought report from provincial health minister and secretary.
