MULTAN: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf vice-chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has condemned terrorism incidents in the country.
Inaugurating a three-day Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam here on Wednesday, Qureshi said that schools and mosques were not safe in the country. He prayed for the peace and progress of the country.
Thousands of devotees from different parts of the country attended the first day of the Urs. Meanwhile, 2,400 police officials are performing the Urs security duty in three shifts. As many as 30 CCTV cameras and 12 walkthrough gates have been installed to avoid any untoward incident.
PIA employees observe strike

MULTAN: PIA employees of Grade I to V on Wednesday observed complete strike against the transfer of their 60 colleagues from Multan to Karachi and Lahore.
They wore black armbands and staged a demonstration to register their protest. They shouted slogans against the PIA management. They said that the PIA management had transferred 37 airport employees to Karachi and 20 employees of the HR Department and two of the Medical Department to Lahore. They demanded cancellation of the transfer orders.
