Cleanliness drive in Chitral continues

CHITRAL: The cleanliness campaign was going on in the city as the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) on Saturday disposed of several tonnes of garbage.
Tehsil Municipal Officer Qadir Nasir said the campaign was launched to make the city a role model and dispose of the garbage dumped in various localities.
He said that the TMA was disposing of 10 tonnes of garbage on daily basis.
Medical Officer Dr Israruddin said garbage had been removed from the district hospital.
Qadir Nasir said that heaps of garbage at Rehankot and outside the office of the deputy commissioner had been disposed of.
He said that funds had been provided to the village and neighbourhood councils to carry out cleanliness drive in respective areas.
