51 managers, shopkeepers held in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The district administration has arrested the managers of various hotels and restaurants for lack of hygiene in kitchens and shopkeepers for violation of government price list. A press release issued here on Wednesday stated that the action was taken on the public complaints about the poor hygiene status at various food outlets on Grand Trunk Road and sale of meat on restricted days.
It said that Additional Assistant Commissioner Fazal Rahim on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Islam Zeb carried out the action.
It said that in another action, Additional Assistant Commissioner Salahuddin arrested 23 shopkeepers for encroachment and violating official price list on Warsak Road.
