106kg hashish seized in Hangu

HANGU: The police seized 106 kilograms of hashish and arrested the alleged drug-trafficker in the limits of the Thall Police Station on Tuesday, an official said.

Talking to reporters, District Police Officer Ihsanullah Khan said acting on a tip-off, the police signalled a pickup-truck near Kurram Bridge to stop.

On thorough search, the law-enforcers seized 106 kilograms of hashish from the hidden cavities of the vehicle and arrested the drug-trafficker identified as Nawaz Sharif, resident of Miranshah, he added.

Our correspondent in Mansehra adds:The police have seized over three kilogram of hashish and 20 bottles of liquor during the ongoing operation in Baffa and Khaki areas of the district on Tuesday.

Led by SHO Baffa Habibullah, the sources the police party raided at house in Kulhara and arrested a narcotics peddler Iftikhar Ahmad and seized 2.2 kg of charas.
