106kg hashish seized in Hangu
HANGU: The police seized 106 kilograms of hashish and arrested the alleged drug-trafficker in the limits of the Thall Police Station on Tuesday, an official said. Talking to reporters, District Police Officer Ihsanullah Khan said acting on a tip-off, the police signalled a pickup-truck near Kurram Bridge to stop. On thorough search, the law-enforcers seized 106 kilograms of hashish from the hidden cavities of the vehicle and arrested the drug-trafficker identified as Nawaz Sharif, resident of Miranshah, he added. Meanwhile, the police launched search and strike operations in various areas in the limits of the City, Saddar, Doaba and Thall police stations and arrested five proclaimed offenders. The police also seized six pistols and ammunition during the operation.
