Man booked for threatening polio team

FAISALABAD: D-Type Colony police have booked a man on a charge of threatening an anti-polio team.
The anti-polio team comprising Nabeel and Shabana was administering anti-polio drops to the children at Asim Town when Asadullah allegedly threatened them of dire consequences. The accused also asked them to stop the anti-polio drive in the area.
Six killed in Faisalabad road accidents

FAISALABAD: Six people, including a girl, were killed in different incidents here.
In the first incident, a 19-year-old girl was going to a seminary along with her father when a speeding rickshaw collided with their motorcycle at Jhang Bazaar. As a result, the girl was injured seriously. She was shifted to the Civil Hospital where she died. In the second incident, a tractor-trolley crushed pedestrian Arif Barkat to death when he was crossing Dijkot Road near Roshanwala Bypass. In the third incident, Naveed Abdullah was killed while Farhan and Ijaz were seriously injured when a speeding bus collided with their car. In the fourth incident, an unidentified man was killed when a speeding car hit his motorcycle near the National Textile University. In the fifth incident, Usman of Bhaiwala and Sajid of Shamsabad were killed while their friend Muhammad Amir was critically injured when a speeding trailer hit their motorcycle on Khurrianwala-Shah Kot Road. Police are investigating.
