Shireen Jinnah FC clinch under-12 boys football title
KARACHI: Shireen Jinnah Football Club beat Lyari 1-0 in the final to clinch the title of Under-12 Boys Standard Chartered Karachi United Youth League here at Karachi United Stadium on Wednesday.
Lyari Blue Girls won the Under-12 Girls Youth League, defeating Orangi blues in the final.Korangi and Malir won the under-14 and under-16 titles, respectively.Talking to ‘The News’, CEO Karachi United Imran Ali said that they had provided this platform for the youth to exhibit their talent.
Imran added that 700 players participated in this tournament.Khadija Hashmi, head of corporate affairs, brand and marketing Standard Chartered, said that she was happy to see the involvement of kids in the sport.She said such tournaments should take place regularly.
