KPK names soccer team for Games
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday announced a 19-member squad for the upcoming Quaid-i-Azam Games scheduled for December 25.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Football Association Secretary and former international footballer Basit Kamal announced the team.Basit said the players were short-listed after two days of trials in which around 110 players from across the province participated.
He added the selection committee headed by former international footballer Abdul Shakoor Aajiz and comprising Qazi Asif, Haji Hidayatullah and Niamatullah Marwat shortlisted the players.
KPK squad: Javed Ljam, Saddam, Shahzad, Taimur Khan, Ubaid, Sajid, Abbas, Salman, Usman, Abdul Wahid, Jan Bahadur, Qazi Tahir, Maroof, Faheem, Ikram, Naveed, Shahzad, Shahidullah, Sheraz.
