Crescent clinch hockey crown
LAHORE: Crescent School defeated Aitchison College 2-0 in the final of Himont Cup Inter-school Hockey Tournament at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.
Hannan Shahid, grandson of late Afzal Manna (Olympic silver medallist 1964) and Aqeel Ahmed scored for the Crescent School. The well contested final was thoroughly enjoyed by the spectators including Head Master Aitchison College, Andrew Egan and Vice Principal Crescent School, Col (rtd) Ali. In the third position match, Government High School, Dhing Shah, Kasur beat Kims Schools 3-2 in another exciting game. Saqib, Osama and Qayyum found the target for the Kasur school. Salman and Shamoon were the scorers for the Kims Schools. Intesar Siddique, Chief Executive Himont Group distributed the prizes.
