Murree, Neelum Valley, Malam Jabba, Skardu receive snowfall
ISLAMABAD: Winter snowfall has started on the hilly areas of the country including Neelum Valley, Malam Jabba and high peaks of Skardu district and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) senior official told APP that snowfall took place in different areas of Neelum Valley, Malam Jabba and Skardu and scattered places of AJK. He said that during the incoming week the snowfall also expected in various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. Pakistan Meteorological Department also forecast that snow will fall at Murree, Malka-e-Kohisar, famous tourists resort. The hotels owners are expecting that a large number of tourists will throng Pindi Point, Kashmir Point, Mall Road and Ayubia, with start of first snowfall. The local traffic police has already devised traffic plan to ensure smooth flow of traffic on various roads of Murree.
