‘Ring Road around Chakwal city to be constructed soon’

CHAKWAL: Punjab Minster for Housing Malik Tanveer Aslam Sethi has said that a Ring Road around the Chakwal city in the radius of 7km will be constructed soon.
He said this while laying down foundation stone of a digital library at the Chakwal Press Club on Saturday. DCO Asif Bilal Lodhi, Civil Defence Chief Warden Raja Mujahidin Afsar, AC Musawwar Khan Niazi, DO Social Welfare Raja Tanveer Safdar, M Khan Aqil, CR Shamsi of PFUJ and Chakwal Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Qazi Muhammad Akbar were also present. The minister acknowledged the role of the Chakwal Press Club and hoped that more information, education and awareness would be provided to the masses through the CPC. He told that the Punjab government was making hectic efforts to eliminate power loadshedding from the province and some serous measure had been adopted in this regard. Press Club Chairman Khawaja Babar Saleem told that Rs 1 million grant was provided by the Punjab government on the recommendation of Malik Tanveer Aslam Sethi and the journalists were thankful to the minister and the Punjab government. Later, a cheque of Rs 1 million was presented to the Chakwal Press Club Chairman Khawaja Babar Saleem.
3 AFGHANS HELD: City police on Saturday arrested three Afghans, including two brothers, for residing illegally.
The police raided and arrested three Afghans including Rafiullah and his brother Raheemullah for not having legal documents and residing illegally in Pakistan. The police have registered separate cases under Section 14 Foreign Act.
