NOWSHERA: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has asked the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take action against those using money to make it to the Upper House of the Parliament. He was talking to reporters after offering condolence to Member Provincial Assembly Rashida Zafar over the death of her brother.
Sirajul Haq said that the ECP should move against those using money in the Senate election. “The ECP must disqualify the senators elected through horse-trading,” he added.
The JI chief said that a handful of landlords and wealthy people occupied the country and its resources for the last 67 years. “They even occupied the politics, democracy and government,” he added.
