CHARSADDA: The police claimed to have arrested 458 suspected persons including 203 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) and seized weapons and narcotics during last month crackdown against the outlaws.
A communiqué issued here on Thursday stated that the police had conducted 29 search and strike operations against the outlaws at various in the district in November. The police arrested 458 suspects, including 203 proclaimed offenders, it added. It said the law-enforcers also seized 10 hand-grenades, five remote-controlled receiver circuits, 11 electric detonators, two non-electric detonators, two improvised explosive devices, three speakers magnet units, seven mortar shells, 40 kilograms of explosives, one plastic drum, 22 small machineguns, light machinegun, 24 shotguns, five rifles, 177 pistols and six guns. They also seized 14 kg of hashish, seven kg opium and 250 grams of heroin.
