SNGPL amass huge total against Habib Bank

ISLAMABAD: Sui Northern Gas (SNGPL) amassed a huge total against Habib Bank Limited (HBL) in a Super Eight match of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy at the NBP Stadium in Karachi on Monday.
SNGPL were all out for 511 and in reply, Habib Bank were 23-1 at the close of the second day’s play.Khurram Shahzad, who was 113 not out overnight, was finally out for 133. He hit 11 boundaries and five sixes in his 248-ball stay at the wicket. Asad Shafique (78) also played well.Ammad Butt (6-106) was the leading wicket-taker for HBL.
At the State Bank Ground in Karachi, Wapda beat KRL by an innings and seven runs inside two days. Mohammad Asif (6-23) ran through the KRL second innings as they were bowled out for just 65. Waqas Maqsood (12-41 in the match) turned out to be the pick of Wapda bowlers.
He took 9-32 in the first innings as KRL managed just 95. Wapda scored 167 in their
first innings.Scores in brief: At NBP Stadium, Karachi: SNGPL 511-10 in 150.1 overs (Khurram Shahzad 133, Azhar Ali 118, Iftikhar Ahmed 93, Asad Shafiq 78, Muhammad Hafeez 37; Ammad Butt 6-106, Abdul Rehman 3-194). HBL 23-1 in 14 overs (Imamul Haq 18 not out).
At State Bank Ground, Karachi: KRL 95-10 in 42.3 overs (Jaahid Ali 40, Waqas Maqsood 9-32) and 65-10 in 28.4 overs (Saif Badar 22, Jaahid Ali 19; Muhammad Asif 6-23, Waqas Maqsood 3-9). Wapda 167-10 in 49.3 overs (Khalid Usman 86, Aamir Sajjad 19; Sadaf Hussain 5-51, Ahmed Bashir 3-42, Yasir Ali 2-25). Result: Wapda won by an inning & 7 runs.
At UBL Ground No 1, Karachi: Lahore Region Whites 141-10 in 47.2 overs (Rizwan Hussain 42, Muhammad Irfan 41; Aizaz Cheema 4-43, Bilawal Iqbal 4-42) and 151-5 in 90 overs (Anas Mahmood 54, Umaid Asif 50; Aizaz Cheema 4-31). Lahore Region Blues 281-10 in 75.1 overs (Tayyab Tahir 83, Saad Nasim 83, Farhan Khan 55; Umaid Asif 4-73, Waqas Ahmed 3-106, Muhammad Irfan 2-24).
At Niaz Stadium, Hyderabad: UBL 252-10 in 79.3 overs (Shan Masood 75, Saad Ali 52; Ahmed Jamal 6-34, Kashif Bhatti 3-93). SSGC 273-8 in 84 overs (Fawad Alam 123 not out, Kashif Bhatti 51; Sohail Khan 3-69, Mir Hamza 2-62).
