Selfie takes life in Okara

OKARA: An unidentified youth drowned in the Lower Bari Doab Canal (LBDC) when his foot slipped while making a selfie at canal bank near Chak 39/3R on Sunday.
Passersby called the Rescue-1122 but despite hard struggle, his body could not be traced till the filing of the report.
Man killed, FOUR kids hurt in accident: A man was killed while his four children sustained injuries in an accident on Rao Sikandar Road on Sunday. Zohaib Majeed of Saeed Town, Sahiwal, was on his way along with his four children when his car struck against a roadside tree. As a result, Zohaib died on the spot while his three sons and one daughter sustained injuries.
Three girls among FOUR abducted: A woman and three girls were abducted in four incidents here on Sunday. Salma Bibi, the wife of Shafiq and a resident of Basti Mahmood Kot Gogera, was abducted by some unknown persons.
Sadia Bibi, the daughter of Shaukat Ali and a resident of 44/D village, was allegedly abducted by accused Ali Haidar, Muhammad Abbas, Zafar Ali and Shamim. Parveen Bibi, the sister-in-law of Nawab Ali and a resident of Mangan village, was allegedly abducted by accused Iftikhar, Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Arshad and Rehana Bibi.
Farhana Sharif, the daughter of Muhammad Sharif and a resident of Burj Jeway Khan, was allegedly abducted by accused Humayun, Muhammad Saleem, Nadeem, Ramzan, Adnan and Shakil. Police have registered separate cases.
