3 terrorists killed in Faisalabad encounter

FAISALABAD: As many as three alleged terrorists of a banned outfit were killed during an encounter with CTD police in the limits of Sandal Bar police here on late Saturday night. While security forces arrested 11 terrorists of proscribed BRA in Balochistan along with arms cache in different operations on Sunday.
A spokesman of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said here on Sunday that the CTD police conducted operation at Faisalabad bypass and witnessed five terrorists coming towards the city to attack on office of a law enforcement agency.
The CTD police intercepted them and directed for surrender, on seeing the police they opened indiscriminate firing on police team. The CTD team also retaliated and during the cross firing three of the outlaws received serious bullet injuries and died on the spot, whereas their two accomplices managed to escape from the scene under the cover of darkness. The CTD police recovered weapons, explosive material, detonators, prima cord, motorcycles, etc from them.
