Islamabad outclass Abbottabad by 7 wickets

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad started the National Inter-Regional Under-16 One-Day Championship on a winning note beating Abbottabad by seven wickets here at the Diamond Ground Sunday.
Abbottabad were bowled out for 82 in 20th over with Maaz Habib (26) being the notable run-getter. Atif Khan (5-32) ran through Abbottabad batting line up with some fiery stuff.
Thanks to 45 not out by Hassan Abid, Islamabad reached the target in 17th over losing three wickets in the process.Scores in brief: At Diamond Ground: Abbottabad 82 all out in 19.2 overs (Maaz Habib 26; Atif Khan 5-32, Abdul Rehman 3-7) v Islamabad 83-3 in 16.3 overs (Hassan Abid 45 not out; Bilal Shah 3-27).
At Pindi Stadium: AJK 91 all out (Fasiur Rehan 33, Mr Extras 26; Sajjad Khan 4-5, Usama Afridi 3-33) v Rawalpindi 92-4 in 24.2 overs (Shahzer Satti 24 not out, Mohammad Arish 3-21). Result: Rawalpindi beat AJK by six wickets.
At National Ground: Karachi 208 all out in 33.3 overs (Mubashir Nawaz 38, Saim Ayub 36, Kashif Ali 36; Harris Khan 3-21, Aamir Khan 3-44) v Peshawar 147 all out in 32.4 overs (Mohammad Sudais 37, Zain Khan 25; Saad bin Yousaf 3-27, Uzair Akbar 2-23). Result: Karachi beat Peshawar by 61 runs.
