SNGPL crowned All-Pakistan Hockey champs

LAHORE: The Sui Northern Gas Pipe-Lines (SNGPL) grabbed the All-Pakistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament title after defeating the Port Qasim Karachi 3-2 in the final played at Sadiqabad.
According to information available here the SNGPL forward Ghulam Abbas netted the first goal while Mohsin Khan and Rana Waheed contributed the second and third goals respectively. The runners-up Port Qasim scored through Kashif Ali and Muhammad Moazzam.
The event was participated by SNGPL, Port Qasim, Pakistan Steel, Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan teams. Punjab Minister for Special Education Muhammad Shafiq was the chief guest on the concluding day. The minister appreciated the keen interest of the SNGPL Administration in the promotion of hockey in the country.
