KARACHI: Abid Ali smashed an unbeaten 102 run knock to guide Dera Murad Jamali Region to 252-2 against Larkana Region in their first innings on the second day of their Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Grade-II game at the Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
After the first day’s play was washed out due to rain, DM Jamali played superbly well, thanks to a fine knock from Abid who smashed ten fours in his 184-ball unfinished feat.
Taimoor Ali partnered with him at the other end on 66 runs, which included eight boundaries.
Nasir Khan belted 46 runs with six fours, while Fareed Khan made 30.
Imtiaz Ali and Imran Chandio took one wicket each.
At the Diamond Club Ground in Islamabad, FATA Region were bowled out for 301 runs in 83 overs against Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) after resuming their first innings at 113-3.
Samar Gul Afridi and Haroon Sadaqat scored 86 runs each, while Almar Khan Afridi made 38.
Arsalan Arif captured 4-68, while Irfan Talib picked 2-54.
In reply, AJK reached 49 runs without loss at stumps.
Irfan Talib (32) and Adil Mirza (13*) were at the crease.
