National Men, Women Karate kicks off today

LAHORE: The 25th National Men and 11th National Women Karate Championships will be held from November 24 to 26 at Wapda Sports Complex, Lahore.
Teams from all the affiliated units of Pakistan Karate Federation Wapda, Army, Police, Railways, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP, Islamabad and Fata will be participating in the championships and compete for the top honor in Men’s Individual Kumite in below 50 kgs, below 55 kgs, below 60 kgs, below 67 kgs, below 75 kgs, below 84 kgs, above 84 kgs. Team Kumite, Individual Kata, Team Kata.
In women, Individual Kumite below 45 kgs, below 50 kgs, below 55 kgs, below 61 kgs, below 68, above 68 kgs. Team Kumite, Individual Kata and Team Kata. The opening ceremony of the championships will be held on Friday November 24 at 11:00 am. Lt-Gen (retd) Syed Arif Hasan, President Pakistan Olympic Association will be the chief guest. The finals and prize distribution ceremony will be held on Sunday November 26 at 4:00pm. Lt-Gen (retd) Muzammil Hussain, Chairman Wapda will grace the occasion of finals and prize distribution ceremony.
